All Around and Back Again
Focus: Adductors, Back-bending, Hamstrings, IT Bands, Twists
This class is for those looking for a little bit of everything. It isn’t too hard, not too easy but gives you an all-around practice. There is emphasis on lengthening the IT bands and Hamstrings. We add some twists to create a healthy spine and stimulate the body. Through Surya Namaskar (Sun Salutations), we prepare our bodies for the standing postures like Virabhadrasana 1 (Warrior 1), Parivrtta Utkatasana (Revolved Chair Pose), and Virabhadrasana 2 (Warrior 2). We then take the practice into some variations of side lunge to get into the inner thighs and lengthen groin and adductors. We move to the floor and continue to find ways to do postures that work all around the body and lead us to Savasana. Happy practicing
