In this class, we learn how to do Anuloma Pranayama, an alternate nostril breathing exercise that promotes calm in the body. In this variation of the practice, we inhale with both nostrils and then subsequently exhale with one nostril and then the other. This breath is designed to be an introduction to this powerful yet calming breath and is a way to find balance in the energy of the body. This breath lowers stress and anxiety, prepares the mind for meditation, and balances the two hemispheres in our brain. Practice this your body and mind need a reset so you can reduce stress and anxiety and focus your energy on rehabilitation and recovery.
