Yin

Calm the Inner Fire

Focus: Adductors, Groins, Hamstrings, Hip-opening, Hips

In Yin yoga we are searching for ways to gently expand the body, calm the mind, link it to our breath.  We use this practice and direct your energy to be cool, calm and grounded through the asanas. In this sequence we will do some hip-openers, forward folds and linking these with techniques to focus the mind while the body opens.  We will make our way to one of my favourite postures, Upavistha Konasana (Seated wide-legged forward fold) which helps release the adductors and all over the lower body. We finish practice with some supine hip-openers and twists to complete the practice; leaving you with a state of calm and inner ease.
