Fire It Up For a Great Day
Focus: Back-bending, Core strengthening, shoulders, Strength
Using some gentle moves to prepare the body, we move slowly into our practice. Don’t let the slow start fool you, this class will increase awareness and strength in the body. Working through the asanas (Yoga postures), we add in some extra Chaturanga press-ups, to build strength and heat. Elements of flexibility are interspersed with strengthening movements so that you can develop a well-rounded practice. As class progresses, we explore some spine-strengthening and back-bending postures. Through these invigorating movements we can set the stage for a great day. As we get to the end of the class, we find the most important part: Savasana (Corpse Pose).
