Grounding Practice to Clear the Mind
Focus: Hip-opening, Hips, Quads, Twists
In yoga we practice many of the same yoga postures over and over again. The great part about the practice, is that each time we practice, it is new experience as we tap into the present moment of where our body is, not where it was. This practice reviews many familiar postures and through the familiarity we find a grounding effect to calm body and the mind. You will review postures that activate quads, hips, and twisting postures for the spine. We move to the mat to explore postures that centre and ground the body. We use this short practice to connect to the deeper meanings of the practice and then take those understandings from the mat and into our lives.
