Let’s Start the Day and Yoga

Focus: Hamstrings, Hip Flexors, Hip-opening, Twists

Let’s get up and go and get the day moving with some Yoga!  We start with some variations on Surya Namaskar (Sun Salutations) to create some warmth and flow through the body.  As the practice progresses, we add some side bending to promote length and space in the body.  We move into some Surya Namaskar A to build more vigour and heat in the body, followed by some Surya Namaskar B.  These progressive Sun Salutations create awareness throughout the body connecting body to your breath.  After the body is warm, we add some hip-opening and twists to expand and complete our practice. Finally, a Savasana (Corpse Pose) to help the body, mind, and breathe coalesce into a complete relaxation experience.
