Open and Fly

Focus: hip-flexors, hamstrings, hips, hip-opening, adductors, IT-Bands, arm balances

It’s a beautiful day, so we move outside and take our practice to the beach. We will start with some hip openers that get the body moving and ready for the challenges ahead. After we move through Surya Namaskar (Sun Salutations), you will find some fun postures like Garudasana (Eagle Pose) and variations of Ardha Chandrasana (Half Moon Pose). Our goal in this class is to prepare the hips for some hip-opener arm balances that will strengthen your body and challenge your mind. Do your best, don’t over effort, and focus on your breath, the rest will happen as it needs. Happy practising!
