Release and Unwind
Focus: Rehabilitation, Recovery, Upper back, Shoulders, Hamstrings, Hips, Quads
This session is designed to help athletes unwind after their performance so that they can be ready for the next event. We use this practice to help flush to the body and remove the lactic acid and tight muscles that happen post-competition. The practice gets into the upper back and shoulders at the beginning. The class progresses to opening hamstrings, hip-flexors, outer hips and quads. By adding little movements in the stretches we help stimulate the body and promote better circulation. Use this practice when you need movement but something that isn’t too challenging for your post-recovery strategy.
